White Labs WLP029 Kölsch Yeast has its origins in a Cologne brewery and is great for brewing both Kölsch and altbier. It increases hop flavor and bitterness, resulting in a crisp, clear lager-style beer. Optimal fermentation takes place at 18-20°C (65-69°F) and activity may diminish below 17°C (62°F). This yeast strain is known for low flocculation from the first generation onward.
