Origin: Ekuanot® (formerly HBC 366) was released in 2014 by the Hop Breeding Company in Yakima, Washington. It was originally named “Equinox” but subsequently renamed due to trademark issues. Its name is derived from the fact that in early Spring, Ekuanot® comes out of the ground a bright lime green. Over the course of the summer, it gradually turns a rich, dark green, making it equal parts light and dark – like the equinox.
Usage: Aroma, whirlpool, and dry-hopping for any hop-forward styles
Aroma & Flavor Characteristics: Ekuanot® offers intense and unique fruity and citrus notes including melon, berry, lime, apple, and papaya but also contains some spicy, green pepper notes.
Alpha Acid: 14.5-15.5%
